V Festival ticket scams – beware

20th August 2010

Police are warning festival goers to watch out for those selling unofficial tickets for the V Festival this weekend.

Some customers have reported ticket scams after buying tickets from unofficial websites. They have spent hundreds of pounds on tickets, to find that the tickets never arrived and the website they booked through no longer exists.

Don’t buy unverified tickets

Ticket touts may also try to sell bogus tickets near the event in Weston Park, Staffordshire.

People should not buy tickets for the V Festival, or any other event, unless they are convinced they are buying them from the legitimate seller.
