Take That fans are being warned about fake websites selling counterfeit tickets for Take That’s ‘Progress Live’ tour.
It’s been reported that fraudsters could make millions out of selling bogus tickets to desperate fans.
Fake websites take payment for the non-existent tickets. The websites then close down and disappear, leaving fans without any tickets whatsoever.
Spot fake websites
Anyone wishing to buy tickets for any event should only buy them from well-known websites. They should also be aware that fraudsters often create websites to look very similar to well-known sites. Check that the website’s url is that of the legitimate ticket seller, and if in any doubt at all, call the company on a known phone number instead.
