A new version of the Mac OS X Sabpab Trojan horse has come to light which appears to be exploiting malformed Word documents.
The Trojan virus will get installed on your computer if you unsuspectingly open an infected Word document.
Once the OSX/Sabpab Trojan is installed it can leave you vulnerable to fraudsters wanting to steal personal information or install more malicious code.
Users of Apple Mac computers may be caught out by the attack, as there is no prompt to enter your username or password when the malicious software installs itself.
If you own a Mac computer, there is free anti-virus software from Sophos available to help protect yourself against these viruses.
For further information visit the Sophos website.
