City of London Police is continuing to advise anyone receiving a false demand for a loan in connection with MCO Capital to respond directly to the company.
MCO has fallen victim to an organised loan fraud that has used people’s personal details to make thousands of false loan applications.
Since launching its investigation before Christmas detectives from the National Lead Force for fraud have written to more than 7000 people whose personal details were used by fraudsters to make false loan applications.
The investigation team are now aware that many people are continuing to receive demand letters from various credit collection companies, asking them to pay back money they never received.

Simple notification declaring you have not taken out a loan along with confirmation of your name and address should ensure enforcement action to reclaim the loan is put on hold whilst MCO Capital review your case.
The City of London Police has advised MCO Capital to show the necessary due diligence to ensure that innocent parties affected by this fraud are not subjected to further unnecessary distress.
