Job seekers are being warned of fraudsters offering fake jobs at the Department for Transport (DfT).
The company asks victims to complete a detailed application form and pay a £25 fee towards a Criminal Records Bureau check through paysafe card.
Applicants have also been falsely informed that interviews will be taking place at the DfT’s headquarters offices in Victoria, London on a particular time and date.
DfT has confirmed that it is not recruiting for any posts as advertised by Broadview Security Limited and has no knowledge of the company.
All DfT posts are advertised via the Civil Service Jobs website. This is the main job-site for individuals applying for positions within the Civil Service.
All pre-employment checks are done internally by the DfT and they would never ask an individual to pay for their own Criminal Record Bureau check.
