Beware of emails purporting to be from British Airways customer services that claim your order has been successfully booked.
Our contact centre has received several reports of scam emails purporting to be from British Airways.
The convincing scam emails mention “confirmation that your order has been successfully processed” and include a booking reference, departure date/time, and prices.
They go on to say that your flight and seat number can be located in the lower part of the ticket and ask you to download a copy from suspicious links. The downloadable "ticket" is likely to contain malware.
The email subject header also appears to have been spoofed to make it appear as though they originated at [email protected].
If you receive one of these emails, delete it, do not click on any links and report it to us.
