Alert- Facebook malware suggests “Pages you might like"

Beware of emails pretending to be from Facebook suggesting "Pages you might like" that direct you to websites laced with malware.

Computer Virus

Security company ThreatTrack, have identified emails purporting to be from Facebook which ask you to review a list of “pages you may like” in the subject line.

The email addresses you by your first name and contains a series of pictures that take you to legitimate but compromised websites hosting malware. If you receive one of these emails, do not click on any links, delete it and report it to us.

Always remember that if you want to safely review Facebook notifications, visit the website directly by typing the URL into your browser to ensure it is safe.
